'Eastern Carbine'. Vintage lever action repeating rifle chambered in .25-35 W.C.F. Winchester. Manufactured 1902. Features the rarer 20" octagon barrel,( 20-inch octagon examples usually date from the late 1890s to early 1900s (1898-1907). full-length tube magazine, dovetailed "King" blade/bead front sight , adjustable sporting rear sight, smooth trigger, lever safety, smooth walnut forend and straight wrist shoulder stock with carbine buttplate. Bore is fair, strong rifling, frosting in the grooves. Retains about 45% original blue finish with edge wear to the barrel flats, handling wear mostly on the receiver & lever. Wood is good/sound with minor scratches/dings. Markings are crisp. Comes with a Cody Firearms Museum letter confirming the octagon barrel and caliber. Shipped on April 30, 1903.
